Well a trip to the fabric store today I think has given me the kick start needed. Little Busy Issy needs a nice quilt to keep her warm in the evenings. Just like Olivia she loves to be covered up.....
Needless to say that silly store had major sale on and I think 1/2 the town was there!
Going to devote the next couple evening between coffee visits with friends to getting the sewing room organized again and up and running. Seems my cat loves to sleep on the cutting mat...........not the best place for him but he is happy :)
So The Busy Issy quilt coming soon.
Haute Couture for the hard to fit. Pugs just don't fit the regular off the rack clothing nor do they care to. Handmade quality clothing and quilts

Rusty me...
Ok it has been awhile since I have sewn....the weather, holidays and all have been a factor.
We went to a pug picnic on the weekend and needed something to wear.........so last minute made up something....till 2 am sewing.........Eliott in boardshorts with frogs and Olivia in a 2 piece polka dot halter top and pleated skirt.
Unfortunately Isabella was in heat so stayed home...good thing otherwise could have been 3am!

The Lady of The Bend Bed....
Just been doing some dabbling for the dogs lol. Too nice of weather to be inside sewing alot so outside painting :)
What more could a girl want than a four poster bed with a lovely floral pillow? Painted rather shabby chic with black undertones and creamy light light pink.
Spent the last few days in our get away house in the Fraser Canyon and painted out in the sunshine :)

Time Keeps Ticking by....
Haven't done anything for awhile, weather has been so lovely crappy and just haven't got there lol...something like a writers block? Who knows. But when the weather has been nice I've been outside as much as possible. Have some velcro to sew on tonite and just going to get at it! Dresses are heading up to the Okanagan this weekend to the Farmer's Market :)
But on a brighter note, my daughter had gone to Ikea and I asked her to look for a little mirror for thedressing room kitchen for the pugs to admire themselves. And she found a great little one for them.
So time for the velcro to be sewn and hopefully back to the machine in the next week.
Smiles and sunshine.

Finished The Sunny Day Dress
Wow......finally finished! And a bit of a sunny day today too so of course took advantage of the outdoors, well aside from the Costco trip......but got some great yard stuff so all in all it was AOK!
So this evening as the TV is blaring away ....I really truly don't like surround sound and I am not a TV watcher ......
Isabella was not a willing participant to model the dress and the color is not her best......Ms Olivia was sleeping soundly after all her yard play today so just was not going to get up to do anything! But if the truth be known I do think it is more a black girl color and would look so bright and cheery!

Piles and Piles......
Well this sunny weekend the machine did not move......but brush & dirt piles did. Blisters on blisters but in the end it will all be worth it. Every year the trees grow bigger and need more attention.........sigh.......the bones get older and slower but so thankful I have a nice yard.
The piles of fabric sits............so what next?

The Olivia Garden Dress
What started out as a totally different dress last nite was ripped out of the machine due to major malfunction.....
So out came some other fabric and The Olivia Garden Dress was created. This is a heavier cotton material for the cool spring evenings of the early mornings while you have your cuppa tea in the garden.

The Beginning
Ok, I really hate, like, to sew. I actually am starting to really enjoy it. I love to create and put together colors and fabric and just experiment. My sewing room is almost finished and just waiting for the baseboards to be bought and put up. My son painted the room for me and my husband did the light........which now I realize is much too dark. Trial & Error on that one.
As the owner of 3 pugs, Olivia, Elliott and Isabella I find that they don't like the cold, especially Olivia. At all costs she will avoid anything that is not pleasant weather wise. She practically has to be dragged out in the cold for her bathroom trips.
When we first got Olivia we bought some sweet little hand knit sweaters and rain jackets but once she started growing we realized that her body just isn't an off the rack body! So I started sewing jackets for her. She has a collection that is growing with her as she gravitates to a large football size. Good thing for Velcro adjustment.
My goal is to sew unique one of a kind dog items that you can purchase. Keep an eye out for items on here.
